Honestly, I just wanted a creative outlet to write, reflect, plan, and store all my favorite photos – an organized portfolio that I can look back on. That’s why there might not seem like there’s a specific focus for this site; it was designed to just share all my favorite things, which of course can’t be neatly boxed. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this page brought even just a glimpse of joy to you or made you smile! It sure does for me 🙂

This site showcases some of my favorite things including, but not limited to, travel, climbing, design, hiking, event planning, connecting with God’s people, capturing memories, reading and writing. First and foremost, my identity is in Christ and hopefully you’ll see Him in the various pages throughout the site, remembering that all of these things that I enjoy are gifts from God viewed from His lens, not ours.

“I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving after the wind”

In Ecclesiastes 1:14, King Solomon writes in his old age that everything in this life “under the sun” is devoid of any meaning. After acquiring everything this world had to offer, possessing more riches and wisdom than any other king, he still feels empty. And he discovers that indeed nothing in this world matters with an earthly, “under the sun” perspective, but with an “above the sun” perspective, everything matters.

So I write to heal. In a life currently lived “under the sun,” I find purpose and meaning in remembering my true home is “above the sun.” And the beauty and brokenness here in this temporary dwelling place, I write about in desperation to continually lift these letters up high to the One sitting on the throne in heaven above.
